My heart goes on saying the world is full of inspiring people around and why not. Let me tell you a real-life story to support my thoughts.
Recently we (my family and friends) went on a road trip to Arkansas to see the blooming fall foliage and botanical Gardens are the best places to see all autumnal beauty at one stop. For us that one spot was Garvan Woodland loaded with diverse fall colors. It was a breadth taking nature’s hub with a very interesting pathway inside the Garden. We were awestruck by its mesmerizing beauty and as usual a photograph addicts me was taking pictures every other sec to keep it alive in memories for lifetime. Halfway after crossing the scenic view I came across this adorable couple in their late 60’s lovingly holding each other’s hand and guiding each other through the pathway.
What I observed was, the couple had no gadgets, no smart phones no bag packs, no food bags or anything in hand except for a small specs case plus a map and were enjoying the outing thoroughly, feeling the breeze, appreciating nature and discussing the details of well decorated Christmas lightings, expressing their thoughts on how the little pond in center of the garden was adding to its magical sight unlike us who were more interested in finding backgrounds for taking cool pictures than anything else on this Green heaven. They were not missing a single bit of beauty and touched each corner of the park to admire the moment rather than getting it all on camera and then watching it later. My heart melted and that stranger couple immediately became my life motto and I kept promising my soul that we are going to make it till end just like them and we are going to live 100% like them without getting stuck or carried away by materialistic things.
Within a blink of seconds, the cute pair taught me true value of relation is companionship. It’s not at all necessary to showcase togetherness to the world, in fact it’s to feel in every moment you get to spend together. Sometimes not proving to anyone is all that you need to live happily. That couple was so lost in their own thoughts and talks that I felt they dint need to prove their existence. They were watching birds pass by the vibrant colored trees and smiling at the sky. They were so content with satisfaction within and looking at them I am definitely determined to live a healthy happy life with my family by focusing more on moments than on materialistic things.
